Doi Khong Khao, Chiang Rai

Doi Khong Khao rises abruptly from the Mae Kok flood plain and is clearly visible for miles. Underneath there is extensive system of caves and caverns that are used as meditiation retreats. A steep stairway on the opposite side of the hill gives great views of the surrounding area.
